Cisco offers three levels of certifications: Associate, Professional, and Expert. The Expert level includes the CCIE certification, which represents the highest level of achievement. Various tracks - such as Routing and Switching, Network Security, and Service Provider - are available, so that you can match your certification path to your job role or industry. In addition to general certifications, you can enhance your core networking knowledge by achieving specialist certification in technology focused areas.
The highest level of expertise is the CCIE certification. Certified CCIEs are an elite group. Less than 3% of Cisco certified professionals become CCIEs. Achieving CCIE status signifies your real-world mastery of networking issues and is obtained by passing the carreer path and finish with both a written exam and a hands-on lab exam in one of the four CCIE tracks.
